The music library and iTunes library file are both on the Synology NAS in the following location SYNOLOGYDS916 Music iTunes Music iTunes Media. If I purchase music on my iPad, then it is downloaded to the Synology media library and available in both Windows clients. Synology allows you to move App data from one volume to another from the Shared Folders option, as shown below. Move App Data to Another Volume - Synology DS918+. However, this is not the same as moving the App itself to another volume. That has to be done from a remote SSH terminal. I have better performance when I keep my iTunes library file the synology cloud station and have iTunes keep my media files on the NAS. With this configuration the library file is being updated on the local machine and then syncs with the Synology (and the other machines on the network). The library contains music in the music shared folder or any other indexed folders of your Synology NAS. In the Library tab, your music is sorted into categories to provide you with different options to easily browse your music according to your needs and preferences. As well as this, it will allow you to easily find any song you.
I’ve been running Plex for several years with no issues. All of a sudden new movies aren’t showing up in my main library. The library is on a NAS and shows /volume1/music/iTunes Media/Movies as the target path. I’ve created a 2nd library and copied the above path and after a scan nothing shows up. Also when adding a folder I can’t see any local drives or network drive paths other than what’s in the image. Note that the existing movies in the above library play and can be searched.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi all,Move Itunes Library From To Synology Nas
I do have Plex running on my Synology NAS. Android tv os install. My iTunes library is as well located on this NAS because SONOS accesses it perfectly from there. El capitan latest version.
Everything I found on the Internet regarding importing from iTunes seems to refer to former versions of Plex. The official FAQ page refers to “channels” - something that I can’t find on my settingins page. Instead there is an iTunes Plugin under “Plugins” which I activated along with the XML path. Still I had to Import the library by providing the path to the iTunes Media Folder. There was no option in that Import process to make this an “iTunes Import”.
I restarted my NAS and stopped/restarted Plex with no difference (or do I have to restart Plex in a specific way??)Move Itunes Library From To Synology Nashville Tn
Plex was able to Import all my Music but it’s my Playlists that I’m desperatly missing…
Thanks! Gregor
